A great first week in Cherry Tree Class! The children have all come with smiles on their faces and looking super smart.
We have eased ourselves in fairly gently but still managed to get lots of work done. Next week will be more like a 'normal' week following our daily routines.
All the children have brought home their new reading books. Please support us in reading with your child as much as possible and recording this in their record book. Regular reading really is the key!
The class page on the web site has been updated with important information including what we will be learning this term.
Next week we have our 'Meet the Teacher' evening after school. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible then.
Have a wonderful weekend. I am sure you will have some tired children.

We have reached the end of another week. It has been a hot one!
In English we have been writing Information Texts about the Explorers we have learnt about in our topic. The children have done some amazing pieces of work on Amelia Earhart and Captain James Cook. I have been very impressed with the knowledge about these famous explorers that they have remembered.
In maths we have been recapping on money. The children have been focusing on finding change.
The children have been busy in DT completing their bunting. They will need to continue with this next week and then evaluate their finished pieces.
It was lovely to see some of you on Wednesday for our viewing of the Homework Garden Projects. The children all did a super job and it was lovely to see so many different ideas.
Please remember the Disco on Monday. The children need to come to school in their Disco clothes (sensible shoes please). They will leave at the end from their usual cloakroom doors.
Have a great weekend in the sunshine!
