Hello,

Maple Tree Class have had a creative week.

On Monday, the children developed their pencil drawing skills with a visiting artist. They learned how to draw birds and will continue with this theme in a series of lessons in the coming weeks.

The children also worked on the next stage of their automata animals in their design and technology lesson. The children measured where to drill the required holes and used drills and saws in preparation for the next stage of their moving animal.

On Thursday, the class continued to enjoy learning a dance routine with a Leeds Rhinos dance couch. They are enjoying every minute!

The Year 6 Leavers' Hoodies are now available to order from PC Sports . Please click on the link below.

Thank you to the Friends of Rufford Park for providing the funds for these. All orders need to be made by Friday 2nd June so they can be delivered to school by before the end of June.

Have a super weekend!

Hi,

A big well done to all of the children this week on completing their Key Stage Two Standard Assessment Tests (SATs). Everyone enjoyed their breakfast of toast and jam, fruit and juice before completing the assessments each day. There was a lovely calm and focused atmosphere and the children rose to the challenge that the assessments provide. A big thankyou to the staff from throughout school who helped to provide breakfast each day.

To complete the week, Year 6 enjoyed a came of rounders on the school field.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Trotter
