Hello!
Another short week has flown by in Pear Tree.
In English we have been looking at what a letter is and started to plan to write a letter of complaint to the council in Dull-on-Sea about the new pirate family that have moved next door.
In Maths we have had a recap week. We have looked at addition and subtraction missing number problems and the different resources we can use to support us.
In Science this week our lesson was about the lifecycle of a butterfly with a focus on the process of metamorphosis. Linking to this, we had a very special delivery on Thursday... Our very own baby caterpillars arrived and we will be watching them grow and change over the next few weeks!!! I have attached a video of their first movements: Wiggly Caterpillar
On Thursday as a school we commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The children all looked fantastic and enjoyed their special activities and lunch :)
