Weekly Update 25.4.25

The highlight of this week has been the Explorer Day to launch our new geography topic! The children had lots of fun dressing up as different pirates and explorers. We completed a Scavenger Hunt around the school grounds and also learnt about the seven continents.
On Thursday we completed our MindMate lesson for this half term. We identified different emotions and discussed how it's normal to feel different things to our friends sometimes.
In maths both Year 1 and Year 2 have begun learning about turns. We have done lots of practical work by turning different objects and shapes.
In English we read our new book "The Pirates Next Door" by Johnny Duddle and we made some predictions about the plot using the blurb for clues.
