Lime Tree Class – Weekly Blog

It has been another busy and exciting week in Lime Tree!

We had lots of children putting their names forward to become our school council representative. It was wonderful to see so many children eager to share their ideas and make a difference in our school. We held a class vote, which was very close, but a huge congratulations to Adeline, who was elected as our school council representative! We are looking forward to hearing all about the brilliant ideas she will share.

In History, we have been learning about the life of Nellie Spindler. We explored important events in her life and discussed how we can put these events in chronological order.

In Science, we have been learning how to classify animals into different groups. We explored the characteristics of mammals, reptiles and amphibians, thinking carefully about what makes each group unique. The children have been developing their skills in observing, comparing and sorting animals.

In English, we have been revisiting the wonderful story What the Ladybird Heard. The children have been working hard to rewrite part of the story, using their ideas and remembering the events from the original text. We have been focusing on developing our writing skills and bringing the story to life through our own writing.

Well done, Lime Tree, for another fantastic week of learning! We are so proud of all your hard work, enthusiasm and brilliant ideas.
