Rufford Park Primary School

On Monday, the U11 school football team represented Guiseley Community Foundation at a tournament in York.  They played against other schools from other National League Foundations including: Bradford PA, FC Halifax Town, Grimsby Town, York City, Darlington and Chesterfield.  The children played 6 games over the course of the day.  They Won 2, Drew 2 and Lost 2.  Unfortunately, they just missed out on a place in the final but we are very proud of the children’s achievements.  Steve Taylor (Guiseley Community Foundation Manager) said that '... the boys were a real credit today – they represented Guiseley Community Foundation and Rufford Park impeccably. Unfortunately, it wasn’t their day but they should be proud of their efforts.'

Many thanks to the staff who organised this event, the parents who transported the children to and from the venue and to Guiseley Community Foundation for the opportunity and the brand new kit!
