Weekly Update - 28.05.21

The end of another fantastic week comes to a close!
Well done to all our pupils in Lime Tree Class for keeping up your excellent effort this week with your learning. I have been extremely please with the effort of reading at home this week and it is really beginning to show with the fluency and comprehension of reading in school.
In English we have been looking at the book 'Somebody swallowed Stanley'. We have talked at length about the hidden message in the story and about recycling plastic. Today we have made our own main characters for the story (See pictures below), and we have recycled them responsibly rather than let them find their way into the sea like in our story book!
Today we have had our 'Make the rules' day, organised by The Friends of Rufford Park. It has been fantastic to see everyone taking part in a sensible way and the pupils have really enjoyed a day of school with a few new rules!
I hope you all have a well earned rest over the half term period and that you will be eager and ready to go with our new Seaside topic when we return in June!
