Hello and happy half term!
We have officially completed our first (and longest!) half term of the year. We have had a great and very busy start to the academic year, beginning with an Ofsted and ending with parents' evenings and lots in between!
This week, there is no usual homework for Year 6 Maple and instead they have all been sent home with a "recommended read list" for Year 5 and Year 6. I have challenged them all to visit a library or a bookshop or even look at home for books they haven't read yet and try to read something from one of the lists if they haven't already. The children already have their WW2 rationing homework challenge too so they might like to make a recipe from that over the holidays too!
I hope you all have a lovely half term and will see you in a week!
