A super week for these children!
We have been listening to Prog Rock all week, as we have completed our Early Bird Maths tasks. The children greatly enjoyed hearing Mr Jennings’ band, Mostly Autumn and on Wednesday!
In English, time is being spent retelling the myth of Perseus and Medusa. Each day, the children are rewriting aspects of it in their own wards, trying hard to include some of the grammatical aspects learned this year: expanded noun phrases, parentheses, relative clauses. Hopefully these will be finished and edited by the end of next week, ready for publication, when you will be able to read them too!
In Maths, most of our lessons have been about shape – including measuring angles, identifying 2D shapes and recognising the properties of 3D shapes.
Homework is due in next Wednesday.
*Don’t forget that this year’s Ukulele Gig is forming part of Rufford ParkLife. The Y5s will be performing a number of their learned songs at 3.30 next Friday, 26th June. We would love to have a big audience for this!*
I have you have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Adrienne Amos
