Phew! We made it – and in one piece!!
Jazz music has ended the term for us in Oak Tree Class – Ella Fitzgerald seemed to be the most preferred performer, I think.
In maths, we have continued to work hard by developing our understanding of percentages. This seemed to be very new to the children, so any consolidation you can do at home would be timely. Now that this unit is finished, the children should be able to answer every question on a Y5 arithmetic paper – let’s hope we see scores gradually increase throughout the summer term for all pupils.
In English, we have finished our class novel, the Explorer (hurray!) and there have been lots of activities accompanying this wonderful book. I hope the children talk to you about this story – they seem to have greatly enjoyed it. Katherine Rundell is a fine author.
We all enjoyed celebrating Bugsy Malone with our After Show Party and we are eagerly anticipating our Easter craft afternoon today.
I hope the Easter Bunny is good to you all – and you have lots of goodies to feast on!
Have a super Easter,
Yours,
Mrs Adrienne Amos
