Well done to these children this week!
Attendance raffle winner: Ella
Rap and Hip Hop have greeted the children each morning – don’t worry though, I have vetted each and every song to ensure a ‘clean’ version has been played!
Maths has been finding fractions of quantities, which links very closely to previous work completed on division. After half term, we are also introducing an Arithmetic Test each fortnight in Y5. This is in a bid to prepare the children well for their prospective work in Y6; any help you can give your child in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions would be very helpful. Each child has the aim to improve the score (even by one mark!) each week.
On Tuesday, the children had a workshop session delivered to them by the Mental Health Team all about Resilience. They were extremely responsive and gave some super answers – I know the Mental Health team greatly enjoyed our session!
We have continued improving our Handball skills in PE. And we have spent a lot of time learning about the fabulous flora and fauna of the Amazon Rainforest, too. A very busy week!
Letters about costumes for Bugsy (and all the song words) will be sent home next week. Homework is Maths, Grammar and Spelling practice.
Have a lovely weekend.
Yours,
Mrs Adrienne Amos
