Weekly Update 19.12.25

Hi,
What a lovely final week to the term!
UKS2 gave a great performance of 'A Very Victorian Christmas'. The children learned their lines to both the songs and the poem very well and with only two rehearsals with the whole of UKS2!
The DT project of 'Marbellous Structures' was also a particular success this week. It has been lovely to see the children so engaged in a group project. Their teamwork skills have been excellent.
Keeping with the Victorian theme, the children also made traditional Victorian Christmas cards.
We have also held the auditions for Wizard of Oz and most of the speaking parts have been handed out now – but there will be some additional parts given out next term, I am sure. It’s always difficult to give out parts for a show, as some children will obviously be disappointed that they haven’t been given a main role/the role they wanted – but I do hope you can encourage your child (if they feel downhearted) and say that the whole experience will be a lot of fun! Every part is important in this show...Work will begin on this in January.
Thankyou for the kind gifts we have received. We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
