Weekly Update 10.5.24

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hi,

Year 6 have been fantastic in their preparations for SATs next week and have enjoyed some great cricket games in the sunshine.

On Monday - Thursday, please can children arrive at the hall at around 8:30am each day so they can have some breakfast if they wish to.

A good night's sleep is the best preparation for each day.

Enjoy the lovely weather that is forecast for the weekend.

See you on Monday

Mrs Trotter

Weekly Update 3.5.24

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hi,

It has been lovely to see some improved weather this week. Year 6 have been enjoying developing their Kwik Cricket skills and it very much felt like summer in both the PE lessons this week.

Our thank you letters are now complete and will be sent to Peat Rigg. The children have used some super vocabulary to show their appreciation for the residential trip. We hope you enjoyed looking through the photos.

Year 6  are continuing to work hard towards their SATs assessments that are the week beginning Monday 13th May. It has been lovely to see the children's confidence growing and we are looking forward to a delicious breakfast each morning prior to the assessments.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Mrs Trotter

Weekly Update 26.4.24

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hello,

After the excitement of last week's residential trip to Peat Rigg the children quickly settled to lessons. The children enjoyed a screening of the 500+ photos that were taken of the exciting activities they participated in.

Peat Rigg Photos

Their writing activity this week has been drafting and editing a thank you letter to the staff at Peat Rigg who made our stay an enjoyable and memorable one. It has been lovely to hear these letters read aloud and the favourite moments each child experienced.

The children in Year 6 are now busy preparing for the Statutory Assessment Tests that will be taking place week beginning Monday 13th May. A letter about the Breakfast Club that we run in school that week will be sent home today.

Just a reminder that our PE days are now Tuesday and Thursday.

Have a great weekend!

Mrs Trotter
